Infant Childcare

6 weeks - 12/15 months

What your infant learns and experiences in the first year of life becomes a foundation that they will build on for the rest of their lives.

Daily Activities

Our infant classroom is an environment that exposes your child to new sights, sounds, tastes, textures, movements, and smells both indoors and outdoors.  Each day your child will engage in a variety of physical activities.  Our teachers respond to your baby’s cooing and babbling and converse as if the baby understands everything they are saying. Your infant’s schedule is important to us.  Our goal is to accommodate as many special considerations as possible so your child’s time away from home is as close to home as possible.

  • Indoor and outdoor play time
  • Exposure to sounds, tastes, textures, movements, and smells
  • We accommodate your considerations and schedules

Toys and activities for your infant will encourage their development.

In the first year of life infants like to explore objects with their mouths or by kicking, reaching, grasping, pulling and letting go.

Kids at this age often smile, laugh, coo and reach out to engage their parents and other caregivers. They love to listen and respond to language by imitating the sounds and rhythms that they hear.

At Busy Little Hands we read books, sing songs, imitate sounds, and encourage grasping to develop foundational skills that your baby will need in toddlerhood and beyond.

  • Age appropriate toys and activities
  • Reading and song time to encourage foundational skills

Trusting someone else with your child can be scary but being able to learn about your child’s day can set your mind at ease. Kangarootime is our parent communication app where you can see what teachers are charting about your child in real time like feedings, nap times and selfies! When you come to pick up your child you will also receive a report of all the day’s activities and notes about what happened. Our infant teachers also have a cell phone that you can text or call anytime to speak directly with the person holding your precious baby.

  • Daily activity report and notes
  • Direct access to teachers via cell phones

I couldn’t say enough about how happy my daughter and I are with Busy Little Hands. I was desperately searching for a daycare when my daughter was a few months old and every place I visited had a long waitlist. I went to look at Busy Little Hands and Jessica showed me around. She said that there was a wait list but they would call if anything opened up. They called at the perfect time, and I was able to get my daughter into the nursery.

She has now been going there six months and she is so happy. Every morning that I drop her off I feel very secure and confident about leaving her there with all of the ladies and the new friends she’s made. Dayna, Denise, Camryn and Rachel are fantastic and I couldn’t say enough about how much we both love them. They have a continuous calm, happy, positive and confident demeanor. You can trust that your child will be very well taken care of when you drop them off.

They have done creative activities with the little ones that are so thoughtful. They taught my daughter how to drink a bottle, and introduced her to many new solid foods and even now the school lunch! They’re always making suggestions about what to try, etc and they have a wealth of knowledge.

Thank you Busy Little Hands. I am so glad we found you and would recommend the center to anyone!
